		<content type="html">China's experience with free markets is quite limited. It stands to reason that the central authority---the Communist Party---is jealous of its prerogatives. And they will not easily let them go.&lt;br /&gt;As you point out, however, theirs is a  losing strategy. As long as they follow their authoritarian and bureaucratic inclinations, they will lose ground.</content>

The huge rises in an IPO's price would be exhilarating, and the drops  . . . gut-wrenching. I think I'd need a cast-iron stomach and nerves of steel to spend much time in this game.</content>
